The Coinbell API

The same data that runs this site, as simple JSON: prices, USDT P2P rates in 30+ currencies, funding, liquidation heatmaps, whale transfers and market indicators. Free to start, with higher limits on Pro.

Your API keys

Quick start

  1. Create a key here (you need a free account).
  2. Send it in the x-api-key header with every request.
  3. Every answer is JSON inside data.
curl -H "x-api-key: YOUR_KEY" https://coinbell.org/v1/p2p/lkr

Base URL: https://coinbell.org/v1. Read-only, HTTPS only, CORS open so it works from the browser too (but keep your key out of public pages).

Limits

FreePro

Limits count per key and reset at 00:00 UTC. Every response carries X-RateLimit-Limit, X-RateLimit-Remaining and X-RateLimit-Reset headers. See Pro pricing.

JavaScript

const res = await fetch('https://coinbell.org/v1/markets?limit=10', {
  headers: { 'x-api-key': 'YOUR_KEY' },
});
const { data } = await res.json();
console.log(data.coins.map((c) => `${c.symbol}: $${c.price}`));

Python

import requests

r = requests.get("https://coinbell.org/v1/usdt-premium",
                 headers={"x-api-key": "YOUR_KEY"}, timeout=10)
for row in r.json()["data"]["rows"]:
    print(row["code"], round(row["premium"] or 0, 2), "%")

Response format

{
  "data": { ... },
  "attribution": "Data from Coinbell (https://coinbell.org)",
  "plan": "free"
}

Errors come back as { "error": "…" } with a normal HTTP status: 400 bad input, 401 missing or wrong key, 402 needs Pro, 429 over the limit, 502 the upstream source is down.

Fair use

  • Show where the data is from. On the free plan, link to coinbell.org near the data.
  • Cache what you can. Most data changes every 1–10 minutes, so there is no need to ask every second.
  • Don't resell the raw data or build a copy of this API from it.
  • Keep keys secret. If one leaks, delete it and make a new one.

Questions

Is the API really free?
Yes. A free account gets 1,000 requests a day, which is plenty for a bot, a spreadsheet or a small website. Pro raises that to 50,000 a day and unlocks the bigger datasets.
Where does the data come from?
P2P rates come from Binance and Bybit P2P, whale transfers straight from the TRON, Ethereum and BNB Chain blockchains, prices from CoinGecko and Binance, and funding from the exchanges via CoinGecko. The indicators are calculated by Coinbell.
Can I use it in a Telegram bot or a trading script?
Yes. That is what it is for. Remember it is information, not advice, and data can be delayed or briefly unavailable.
How fresh is the data?
Prices update about every 90 seconds, P2P rates every few minutes, whale transfers every minute and the indicators every 30 to 60 minutes.
