The share of the 50 biggest altcoins that did better than Bitcoin over the last 90 days. At 75 or more it is altcoin season; at 25 or less it is Bitcoin season.

About the index
- How is it calculated?
- We take the 50 largest coins by market value, leave out stablecoins and wrapped tokens, and count how many rose more (or fell less) than Bitcoin over the last 90 days. Coins listed less than 90 days ago are not counted.
- What does it tell me?
- In Bitcoin season money sits mostly in Bitcoin. In altcoin season it spreads into smaller coins, which usually happens late in a bull market. Most of the time the index is somewhere in between.
