- When is it usually cheapest?
- Weekends and the hours when both the US and Europe are asleep are usually quietest. Fees jump during big price moves, NFT mints and token launches, whatever the time.
- Sending USDT?
- USDT on TRON, BNB Chain or Solana usually costs well under a dollar at any time. Ethereum is only worth it for large amounts. Compare networks on our network fees page.
- Where does the data come from?
- Bitcoin: median fee rates of mined blocks over the last month, from mempool.space. Ethereum: the gas price we record every 10 minutes, so the map fills in over the first weeks.
