What is liquidation in trading?
Liquidation is when an exchange closes your leveraged position because your losses have nearly used up your deposit.
You usually lose most or all of that deposit. The higher your leverage, the closer the liquidation price is. When many positions are closed at once, the forced trades can push the price further in the same direction.
