What is leverage in trading?
Leverage means trading with borrowed money, so that a small deposit controls a bigger position.
At 10x, a 1% price move changes your deposit by about 10%, in either direction. A move of around 10% against you can wipe out the whole deposit. Leverage makes losses arrive quickly and is not suitable for most people.

With 100 at 10x you control a 1,000 position. A 5% fall loses about 50, half your deposit.
