What is currency devaluation?
Devaluation is when a currency loses value against other currencies.
Strictly, the word describes a government or central bank deliberately lowering a fixed rate, while depreciation describes a market-driven fall, but people often use them for both. For people living there, imported goods, fuel and foreign study usually become more expensive.
