What is the mid-market rate?
The mid-market rate is the point halfway between what big banks pay to buy and sell a currency.
It is the rate you usually see on Google and on currency pages. Most people cannot trade at it, since banks and money changers add a margin. Comparing the rate you are offered with the mid-market rate shows how much that margin really is.
