What is a spread?
A spread is the gap between the price to buy something and the price to sell it.
Currencies, gold, stocks and crypto all have one. A wide spread means you lose more the moment you buy, because you could only sell straight away for less. Spreads are often how a service makes its money, even when it advertises no fees.
Example
USDT premium by country
If a shop buys dollars at 298 and sells them at 304, the spread is 6 rupees per dollar.
